02An Early Hand of Friendship
Morocco became the first country to recognize the young United States, opening one of America’s oldest diplomatic relationships.

03Jefferson’s Qur’an
Thomas Jefferson acquired an English translation of the Qur’an while studying law. His copy is preserved by the Library of Congress.

African Muslims were present in colonial and early American history, preserving literacy, belief, family memory, and the pursuit of freedom under slavery.

Dr. Sajid Tarar and Dr. Jasdip Singh Jesse are more than institutional partners. They are business partners, trusted friends, and brothers by choice—one Muslim, one Sikh, each grounded in faith and united through service.
Their bond gives our interfaith work a human center and connects an American civic future with a shared history stretching from Guru Nanak and Bhai Mardana to Nankana Sahib, Kartarpur, and today.
